Premium Michigan Upper-Peninsula quarter-sawn hard-rock (sugar) maple, excellent for bridge capping. Approximately 7/16” to 1/2” thick (for bridges) or 3/4” to 7/8” (for keyframes), with 12 growth rings per inch or more. Lengths and widths vary. Order by square foot.

This is the same material we use in our shop for building keyframes and capping bridges.

This material is planed smooth and has been kiln-dried in the Reyburn Pianoworks solar kiln for at least one year and carefully checked for moisture content to ensure stability.
